A national non-profit wanted to understand the connection, if any, between their employees’ individual traits, and the ways in which they were communicating and connected across their organization. As a mission-driven non-profit, the organization recognized this need, and sought to gain an understanding of how the organization was operating in the service of their mission.
We employed network analysis on > 80,000 email exchanges that took place over a six month period, in order to create a detailed network visualization of the organization. We created a survey vehicle, anchored to validated concepts in the literature, and relevant to the functioning of a high-performing organization (e.g. conscientiousness, and psychological safety). These measured traits informed the annotation of the resulting network map.
We created a manipulable web-based object that the senior leadership team could use to better understand its organization.
